For India and Indians everywhere

Steadyweight,the Indian way.

Sthira (स्थिर, “steady”) helps you lose, gain or hold weight with the food you actually eat: idli, dal, biryani, curd rice. Snap a plate to see protein and carbs, get swaps that keep the taste, and track your GLP-1 doses if you take them.

  • Never sells your data

See it work

Hold your phone over the plate. That's the whole step.

Sthira reads the dal, rice and roti on your plate and estimates protein, carbs and fiber in seconds. Change any portion with a tap. The photo itself is never stored.

  • Knows thalis, tiffins and street food
  • ½× to 2× portion buttons for every item
  • Any phone photo works, including iPhone

Everything your week needs, in one calm place.

  1. Never guess your next injection site

Made for Indian food

In Hyderabad or Houston, dinner is still rice and dal.

Most diet apps were built for burgers and salads. Sthira knows a katori of sambar, a plate of biryani and a late-night craving for curd rice, whether you live in India or are one of the 37 million Indians abroad. And if you take a GLP-1, it works with any pen, vial or pill, including the generics sold in India since March 2026.

  • South Indian, North Indian, Chinese and Western food built in
  • Non-veg, eggetarian, vegetarian and vegan, all first-class
  • A coach that answers in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and 7 more languages
  • Rupee pricing at ₹149 a month, and the Asian BMI scale by default

Why we built Sthira

One of us needs to gain weight. The other needs to lose 18 kg.

Sravya is a food science professional in India. At 5′5″ she has been underweight for years, and “just eat more” has never worked. She knows what's in a plate of pongal or sambar better than any app does.

Vamshi, her friend since college, has the opposite problem. He moved to the US and kept eating the food he loves: rice, dosa, biryani, and plenty of it. In a few years he went from about 70 kg to 88. At 5′9″, the healthy range on the Asian BMI scale tops out near 70.

Every app we tried counted burgers and salads and had never heard of curd rice. So we built the one we needed: steady progress in either direction, with the food we actually eat, for Indians in India and everywhere else.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I need to be on a GLP-1 medicine?

No. Sthira works for anyone who wants to lose, gain or hold their weight with Indian food. If you take Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, a generic or a compounded vial, the medicine tools switch on: doses, site rotation, refills and an estimated level chart.

Can it help me gain weight?

Yes. Pick "gain weight" and Sthira sets a calorie and protein target for steady gain, then suggests nutritious, calorie-dense additions that fit your food, like ghee and curd with rice, banana milkshakes, paneer and nuts.

Which foods does it understand?

South Indian, North Indian, Chinese and Western dishes, veg and non-veg: idli, dosa, sambar, curd rice, biryani, chicken 65, fish curry, rajma, paneer and hundreds more through photos, typing or barcodes. Every estimate is editable.

Does Sthira tell me what dose to take?

Never. It records the dose your prescriber gave you and reminds you when it's due. It doesn't recommend, change or skip doses. Those questions belong with your clinician.

What is the medication level chart?

An estimated curve drawn from each dose you log and the drug's published half-life, so you can see how levels rise and fade across the week. It's a visual estimate, not a blood test, and not a basis for dosing.

Is my health data private?

Yes. No ads, and we never sell or share your data. Meal photos are analyzed and discarded. You can export everything or delete your account from Settings at any time.

How much does it cost?

The core app is free. Pro is ₹149 a month or ₹999 a year in India, and $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year elsewhere.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Sthira runs in your browser and installs to your home screen on Android and iPhone, so it opens like any other app.
